challenge and experience of painting outdoors or from real life
using the direct or "Alla Prima" method can be extremely rewarding
whilst at the same time holds true to one of the most basic concepts in
representational art namely - "To paint what you see and not what you
think." |

I use the term 'workshop' very loosely - let me
explain:

 As
a 'self taught' artist I have found much inspiration |

 from
those kind hearted individuals that allowed me to |
| |
'look
over their shoulders' whilst they were practicing |
| |
their
craft. |
| |
Painting
in a group environment has contributed |
| |
tremendously
to my growth as an artist - more so than |
| |
some
of those formal art classes that I tried to attend
|
| |
from
time to time.
